Dear Friends of Primary Health Care,

As Thanksgiving approaches, I have been reflecting with gratitude, on my years of leading PHC. In the last 30 years, we have grown to serve more than 38,000 central Iowans each year! That growth could not have happened without the time, talent, and dedication of many.

I am thankful for the continuous support of the communities we serve. We would not be the thriving community health center we are, without the ongoing support and investment in our mission from our many community and corporate partners. Central Iowa is special, we have elected officials (from both sides of the aisle!), community leaders, and volunteers who truly care.

I am thankful for the outstanding employees who ensure our care and service delivery is of the highest quality. Staff such as our community health workers who focus on healthy food and nutrition as preventative medicine; case managers who stay late to ensure a person experiencing homelessness has a safe place to go; and healthcare providers who take extra time and care with vulnerable patients.

I am proud of all of our staff, who go above and beyond to ensure our patients and clients have every opportunity to live a full, healthy, and happy life.

This Thanksgiving season, as you reflect on the things you are grateful for, whether that is your health or a roof over your head, I am asking you to consider supporting our work with a contribution to Primary Health Care.

Your donation helps ensure that we can continue to reach and care for underserved families and individuals living in our communities.

With gratitude,

Kelly Huntsman, CEO
Primary Health Care
