Stephanie Carr has been named as the president of the Midwest Clinicians Network for 2020. Carr is a registered nurse and currently serves as the Training Director of Primary Health Care, a non-profit community health center with locations in Des Moines, Ames and Marshalltown.

During her term as president Carr will be working with other board members to identify and share best practices and resources that add value to organizations and patient and client outcomes. One of the initiatives she is focused on is helping organizations recognize the return on investment of investing in training and education for their employees.

“We should all be lifelong learners to improve patient outcomes and make sure best practices are used,“ said Carr. “I believe that most healthcare professionals understand the value of investing in training and education, but lack the resources or knowledge to implement concrete programs.”

The Midwest Clinicians Network is a non-profit organization that provides research, education and networking opportunities to clinicians in ten states throughout the Midwest including Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Ohio and Wisconsin.
