PHC’s Outreach at DMPS Events

This summer, PHC’s outreach team is excited to participate in several DMPS (Des Moines Public Schools) events. We want to remind everyone that PHC operates 3 school-based clinics. These clinics are open to all DMPS students and are located at:

  • East High School
  • Hoover High School
  • Kurtz Opportunity Center

Services Provided

Our school-based health clinics offer a range of services including:

  • General Medical Care: Well-child check-ups, sports physicals.
  • Acute Care: Treatment for earaches, sore throats, and other common illnesses.
  • Immunizations: All necessary vaccinations for students.

Operating Hours and Parental Consent

These clinics are open during the school year. Parents can complete consent forms at any of the events listed below to allow their student to receive care when needed.

Student Advisory Board

In addition to learning about our health services, we are promoting our Student Advisory Board (SAC). This board gives students a voice in how health services are provided at their schools. Joining the SAC is a great opportunity for students to:

  • Share their ideas and feedback.
  • Participate in decision-making processes.
  • Develop leadership skills.

Get Involved!

We encourage all students and parents to stop by our table, learn more about the health services available, and find out how students can get involved with the Student Advisory Board. Your participation helps us better serve the needs of our school communities.

We look forward to seeing you there and ensuring our students have access to the best health care possible!
