In March 2020, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) temporarily waived certain Medicaid requirements to prevent people with Medicaid from losing their health coverage during the pandemic. However, states will soon be required to restart Medicaid eligibility reviews through a process called “unwinding.”
If you’re an Iowa Medicaid member, you can expect to receive mail from Iowa Medicaid soon. If you receive a request for information, be sure you respond in a timely fashion. Make sure your address, phone number, and contact information are up to date in the Iowa Medicaid Member Services’ system to avoid missing requested information. To do this, visit https://hhs.iowa.gov or call 1-855-889-7985.
