Primary Health Care (PHC) is pleased to welcome Dr. Megan Srinivas as the organization’s new Chief Medical Officer.
Dr. Srinivas is a board-certified physician in Internal Medicine and Infectious Disease with experience in clinical care, research, health policy, and leadership. She has worked in a variety of care settings, including a community health center in Fort Dodge, Iowa, and brings a strong commitment to improving access to care for underserved communities.
Dr. Srinivas also serves in the Iowa House of Representatives, where she has represented Iowa House District 30 since 2022. Her experience in both clinical medicine and public service provides a unique perspective on the intersection of patient care, public health, and health policy.
“Dr. Srinivas brings exceptional clinical expertise and a deep understanding of community health,” said Nathan Simpson, Chief Executive Officer of Primary Health Care. “Her leadership will help strengthen our clinical programs and support our providers as we continue expanding access to high-quality care for the communities we serve.”
As Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Srinivas will provide clinical leadership across PHC’s medical programs. She will work closely with providers and care teams to support quality improvement, patient experience, and care coordination.
“I am honored to join Primary Health Care and support the important work happening across the organization,” said Dr. Srinivas. “Community health centers play a vital role in improving health outcomes and ensuring care is accessible to everyone.”
Dr. Srinivas officially began her role with Primary Health Care this week.
