Please join us in welcoming our new Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Theran Adamson.

Dr. Adamson comes to us from Mount Sinai Recovery in Georgia. He is board certified in Family Practice and Addiction Medicine and has 20 years experience in a broad range of clinical practices. His experience includes private family practice, faculty with a family practice residency program, owner of a family practice clinic, and working in rural settings. Dr. Adamson has also served as the addiction medicine director with several inpatient and co-occurring programs.

Dr. Adamson will see patients at PHC’s University Medical Clinic, located at 1200 University Ave. in Des Moines.

In his free time, Dr. Adamson enjoys the outdoors and mountain biking. He’s looking forward to checking out some Iowa trails this fall!
